The Role & Responsibilities
As a Junior Design Associate, your creative contributions will power local and international projects across print, digital, and environmental media:
- Support concept development from ideation to execution
You’ll brainstorm alongside senior designers, sketch or mock up early visual ideas, and help turn rough concepts into polished proposals. - Assist in producing design deliverables
From digital ads to print layouts, you’ll help prepare files—ensuring consistency, typography finesse, and adherence to brand standards. - Collaborate with teams across disciplines
You’ll work with copywriters, front-end developers, and project managers to align designs with messaging, functionality, and project timelines. - Prepare presentations for clients and internal reviews
By organizing artboards or slide decks, you’ll help present work clearly and confidently, enabling persuasive storytelling that ties design choices to objectives. - Help maintain and evolve brand assets
Whether updating color palettes or refreshing imagery, you’ll support continual refinement of our visual identity so it stays fresh and relevant.
Qualifications
We’re looking for practical skills enhanced by thoughtful context:
- Related bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, or related field or diploma in
This foundation helps you understand design principles, color theory, and layout fundamentals. - Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
You should feel comfortable navigating these applications to build, manipulate, and assemble design elements. - Basic understanding of typography, composition, and visual hierarchy
You’ll apply these principles to ensure that every piece you touch is balanced, legible, and visually compelling. - Familiarity with digital output formats (e.g., raster vs. vector, RGB vs. CMYK)
Knowing file requirements means fewer revisions when handing off to printers or developers. - Some experience with web-safe formats and export settings
Whether exporting images for social media or web, you’ll optimize assets for clarity, size, and performance.
