The Role & Responsibilities

This volunteer program is designed for graduates in Medicine, Law, and Psychology who want to put their academic knowledge into practice while contributing to social good. Volunteers will gain exposure to diverse projects, working alongside experienced professionals and community partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Medical Support Initiatives
    Assist in community health programs such as free medical check-ups, health awareness campaigns, and patient support. Volunteers may help coordinate events, record case notes, or assist professionals in conducting screenings.
  • Legal Aid & Advocacy
    Support legal teams in research, documentation, and awareness workshops focused on human rights, labor law, and community rights. Volunteers will help create resources that simplify legal information for underserved groups.
  • Psychological Services & Awareness
    Assist in counseling programs, mental health workshops, and research initiatives that address stigma and promote well-being. Volunteers may help organize sessions, prepare materials, and engage with participants.
  • Community Outreach & Coordination
    Work directly with communities to identify needs, distribute resources, and facilitate program activities. Volunteers will act as a bridge between the foundation and local stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    Maintain accurate records of project activities, participant engagement, and feedback to help evaluate and improve ongoing initiatives.

Qualifications

We welcome graduates who are passionate about making a difference, with qualifications in one of the following fields:

  • Medicine: MBBS graduates or equivalent with an interest in community health. Exposure to public health will be an added advantage.
  • Law: LLB graduates or diploma holders eager to contribute to legal research, awareness, and community education.
  • Psychology: Graduates in psychology with a focus on counseling, mental health advocacy, or community engagement.

Additional requirements include:

  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and Sinhala or Tamil preferred.
