The Role

Join a global semiconductor giant to help bridge the gap between software automation and physical silicon. This isn’t just about managing tools—it’s about building the infrastructure that powers next-generation hardware development. You will design cloud-native CI/CD environments, optimize Linux-based build farms, and orchestrate complex workflows across global sites.

Key Responsibilities

• GitHub Engineering: Go beyond administration. Use GitHub APIs/GraphQL to build custom GitHub Apps and Actions that automate security, governance, and the repository lifecycle.

• Cloud-Native CI/CD: Architect and scale build environments using Docker and Kubernetes, with a specific focus on self-hosted runner infrastructure for isolated and high-speed builds.

• Linux System Optimization: Perform deep-dive analysis into CI pipeline bottlenecks. You’ll optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance across extensive Linux build farms.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Treat infrastructure like software by using Terraform, Ansible, or Go to ensure environments are fully version-controlled and reproducible.

• Service Orchestration: Develop the middleware required to connect GitHub workflows to internal hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) labs for automated silicon testing.

Technical Requirements

• Coding Proficiency: High level of competence in Python, Go (Golang), or C/C++ to write production-grade infrastructure code.

• GitHub Internals: Expert-level experience with GitHub Enterprise, specifically GitHub Actions and API-driven automation.

• Linux Mastery: Strong background in Linux systems programming, shell scripting, and kernel resource profiling.

• Orchestration: Expert knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) for managing ephemeral build agents.

• Methodology: A firm grasp of Git-based workflows and a “Shift Left” approach to security and testing.
