The Role

As an Accounts Payable Advisor, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payment requests. You will play a vital role in maintaining our financial integrity by ensuring all transactions meet internal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Management: Handle invoice verification, validation, and exception handling.

  • Reconciliations & Queries: Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with a focus on excellent customer service.

  • Compliance: Execute daily tasks in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

  • Performance & Collaboration: Contribute to (and occasionally lead) team huddles and visual management boards to drive performance and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Continuous Improvement: Work with the AP Management team to identify and implement efficiency improvements within the process.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • Experience: A solid background in a complex Accounts Payable environment with a strong understanding of AP principles and regulations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with finance/payment systems; Oracle experience is highly desirable.

  • Payment Processing: Familiarity with various payment types, including BACS, CHAPS, international payments, and foreign currency transactions.

  • Attributes: High level of accuracy, strong numeracy skills, and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
