Planning Specialist

The Opportunity
During an exciting period of growth, Dowty is seeking a Planning Specialist to join our manufacturing team. You will be the guardian of product data integrity within our business planning systems, ensuring that engineering changes and New Product Introductions (NPI) are seamlessly integrated into our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities

Data Integrity: Oversee the creation and accuracy of Item Master data and BOM configurations within ERP systems (Syteline/Oracle).

Engineering Changes: Act as the supply chain focal point for design changes and NPI, ensuring effectivity dates and inventory impacts are cross-functionally managed.

Governance & Auditing: Implement data governance processes and conduct regular audits to eliminate discrepancies and maintain regulatory compliance.

Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement process enhancements to reduce lead times and costs using our “Flight Deck” toolkit.

Collaboration: Liaise between Engineering, Procurement, and Production to ensure a smooth flow of data and support the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Mentorship: Train team members on ERP functionality and act as a delegate for Master Schedulers when required.
Candidate Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent industrial experience in supply chain operations.

Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially advanced Excel).

Analytics: Proven data analytical skills using digital tools like Spotfire or Oracle.

Mindset: A detail-oriented problem-solver with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Security: Must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.
Preferred: APICS CPIM certification is a significant advantage.
