Organisation: Public Health Scotland (PHS) Location: Edinburgh (Gyle Square) or Glasgow (Bothwell Street) – Hybrid Working Salary: NHS Scotland Scales (Relevant to experience) Pattern: Full-Time | 37.5 Hours | Monday–Friday (Flexible options available)


The Role

Public Health Scotland is looking for a motivated Regional Co-ordinator to join the Scottish National Audit Programme. This is a vital role focused on improving patient care across Scotland through clinical audit. You will work closely with the National Clinical Co-ordinator to maintain national audit structures, ensure results are acted upon, and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Management: Support the National Clinical Co-ordinator in maintaining and implementing national clinical audit structures.

  • Relationship Building: Foster cooperative relationships within multidisciplinary teams to ensure audit findings lead to tangible clinical improvements.

  • Education & Training: Assist in developing and delivering clinical training programs to equip local staff with the tools needed for improvement initiatives.

  • Leadership: Provide a flexible, supportive, and motivational leadership style within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Candidate

We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for clinical excellence.

  • Professional Status: You must be a qualified nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP) with current NMC or HCPC registration at the time of application.

  • Education: Ideally educated to degree level in a life science.

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in clinical audit and a proven ability to collaborate across different healthcare disciplines.

  • Vetting: A Disclosure Scotland check is required (including overseas criminal record checks if you have lived abroad for 12+ months in the last 5 years).
