The Opportunity
Join Barclays as a Vice President in our Structured Trade & Export Finance team. In this commercially focused, incentivized role, you will act as a specialist enabler for complex trade and working capital transactions. You will partner with Global Transaction Banking sales teams and regional stakeholders across New York, India, and the Middle East to structure high-impact solutions that align with the bank’s risk appetite.
Key Accountabilities

Deal Structuring & Execution: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex, cross-border transactions where size and structure require bespoke lateral thinking.

Revenue Generation: Drive revenue by identifying potential customers, analyzing market trends, and converting leads through compelling, value-driven proposals.

Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Specialist Sales to develop pitches that address client “pain points” while ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.

Relationship Management: Build deep trust with global clients by understanding their financial goals and providing high-quality execution support.

Risk & Governance: Navigate the control and governance agenda, using sophisticated analytical thought to manage risks while driving business growth.
Candidate Profile

Desirable Experience:

Background in Trade Finance, Working Capital, or Structured Finance (Guarantees, LCs, etc.).

Experience with syndicated facilities or alternative risk-mitigation techniques.

Previous exposure to Credit, Risk, or Control functions with a desire to move into a front-office enabling role.
