Key Duties
As a Management Accountant at Phoenix Industries, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial performance across manufacturing operations. This includes driving accurate cost management, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance while serving as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining product costing models, monitoring inventory, and analyzing cost variances.
- Preparing annual budgets and forecasts, tracking performance against targets, and supporting scenario-based decision-making.
- Delivering management accounts, KPI dashboards, and profitability analysis to guide leadership decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, tax reporting, and internal financial controls.
- Partnering with production, procurement, and operations teams to improve efficiency and optimize resource use.
- Evaluating capital investment proposals, pricing models, and new product development financials.
- Supporting and guiding junior finance staff while fostering collaboration across teams.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
- A part or full qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in finance within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analytics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
