The Role & Responsibilities
Core Duties and Context
- Deliver one-on-one accounting and finance lessons, both online and in-person, tailored to each student’s pace and needs. You’re more than an instructor—you’re a partner in their learning journey.
- Develop customized lesson plans aligning with each student’s learning goals—whether exam preparation, conceptual clarity, or real-world application.
- Utilize digital tools such as Google Sheets or similar platforms for live financial modeling and problem-solving, enabling real-time collaboration while tracking student progress history TeacherOn.
- Provide timely feedback and performance insights, helping students understand not just the ‘how’ but the ‘why’ behind accounting principles and financial strategies.
- Maintain professional communication through TeacherOn.com’s platform—managing inquiries, scheduling, and student follow-ups with clarity and responsiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting standards and financial analysis, with the ability to demystify complex topics like financial statements, cash flow analysis, and budgeting through clear, contextual instruction.
- Comfortable with digital tools, especially collaborative spreadsheets or whiteboard environments, aligning with the platform’s online teaching guide TeacherOn.
- Strong profile presentation and communication skills, reflecting the platform’s emphasis on thoughtful, complete teacher profiles—as teachers write a minimum of 100 words about their methodology, which helps them stand out TeacherOn.
