The Role

JustPhysio is seeking a skilled Band 6 Community Physiotherapist (or Occupational Therapist) to join our client’s team in County Durham. This is a rewarding locum position focused on community rehabilitation, reablement, and managing intermediate care transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Treatment planning and managing discharges for patients in Intermediate Care Beds.

  • Patient Management: Assessing common conditions including arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, MSK, COPD, and falls.

  • Equipment Provision: Prescribing and providing essential equipment (manual handling expertise is required).

  • Leadership: Providing supervision and support to junior staff members.

  • Mobility: As a community-based role, being a car driver is essential to transport equipment between sites.

Requirements

  • Registration: Must be HCPC registered.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-year post-graduate experience, specifically within community or rehabilitation settings.

  • Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
