Locations: London, Birmingham, Manchester (Priority Coverage) Remuneration: £400 – £450 per assessment (£200 – £250 per hour)

The Opportunity

A leading medico-legal organization is expanding its specialist panel to meet the rising demand for expert assessments in personal injury and RTA-related cases. We are seeking Consultant Plastic Surgeons to provide expert opinions on scarring, injury recovery, and cosmetic outcomes.

This is a highly flexible role, perfect for consultants looking to supplement their income with professionally supported medico-legal work.

Workload & Flexibility

The process is designed to be efficient, with approximately 2 hours total per case:

• Assessment: 30–60 minutes (Face-to-face or remote).

• Report Completion: ~1 hour.

• Commitment: Flexible case allocation to suit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments regarding injury, scarring, and cosmetic implications.

• Review formal instruction letters and relevant medical documentation.

• Produce comprehensive medico-legal reports (supported by a dedicated drafting team).

Requirements

• Must be on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.

• Current or previous experience as an NHS Consultant.

• Prior medico-legal experience is advantageous but not essential.
