South Asia Textiles Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of Hayleys Fabric PLC which is a leading weft knit fabric manufacturer in Sri Lanka situated in Pugoda.

Executive – Finance (Tax)  

We are happy to extend the opportunity to a self-motivated individual with commitment, initiative and enthusiasm, to join our Finance Team and gain the exposure required to secure an eminent position in the corporate world.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing the following tax computations and filing of returns:
  – Value Added Tax (VAT)

  – Withholding Tax (WHT)

  – Social Security Contribution Levy (SSCL)

• Assisting in the timely payment of all taxes and statutory dues.
• Maintaining tax records and supporting documentation.
• Liaising with the Inland Revenue Department and other regulatory authorities on tax-related matters.
• Assisting in tax audits, investigations, and assessments.
• Reconciling tax accounts with the general ledger and preparing tax provisions.
• Supporting annual audits by providing tax-related schedules and information.
• Assisting in tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring compliance.

Candidate Profile:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounts/Taxation or membership of AAT; or a partly qualified CA student; or an equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of Sri Lankan tax legislation.
• 2–5 years of experience in taxation or finance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Candidates residing in or around Pugoda, Kirindiwela, Delgoda, Biyagama, and Weliweriya are strongly encouraged to apply.
