Job Description
The selected candidate will provide day-to-day operational support for Point of Sale (POS) systems, Self-Checkout (SCO) solutions, and retail store applications across our network. This role involves monitoring system transactions, resolving user incidents within agreed service levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless retail operations.
Key Responsibilities

Application Support: Provide daily technical support for POS systems, Self-Checkout (SCO) solutions, and core store applications across the retail network.

Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot POS transactions, payment gateway integrations, pricing discrepancies, promotions, loyalty programs, and daily store processes.

Incident Management: Support retail store users in resolving application-related incidents and service requests within established SLAs.

Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and internal IT teams to investigate, escalate, and resolve complex application issues.

System Deployment: Assist in implementing, configuring, testing, and rolling out new retail applications and system enhancements.

Store Openings: Support new store opening activities, including POS hardware/software setup, application deployment, user onboarding, and operational readiness testing.

Testing & Validation: Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system validation, and regression testing for new software releases and upgrades.

Documentation: Maintain detailed application documentation, user guides, support procedures, and internal knowledge base articles.

Process Improvement: Monitor application performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities for system optimization.

Integration Management: Support core integration points between POS, ERP, inventory management, e-commerce, loyalty systems, and payment gateways.

User Training: Assist in user training and provide hands-on operational guidance to retail store teams.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure application configurations, master data, and user access controls align fully with company policies and compliance standards.
Candidate Profile

Education: A Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience supporting business applications, POS systems, or retail technology platforms.

Industry Knowledge: Direct experience with retail operations, supermarket systems, or store applications is a distinct advantage.

Technical Skills: Preferred knowledge of POS hardware/software, self-checkout workflows, inventory management systems, databases, application troubleshooting, and reporting tools.

ERP Exposure: Prior exposure to enterprise systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms will be a strong advantage.

Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, paired with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Adaptability: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel to store locations and support business operations outside of standard working hours when critically required.
