Manager – Data Scientist | People’s Bank
People’s Bank, a premier financial institution in Sri Lanka with over six decades of excellence, is looking for a talented and dynamic professional to fill the role of Manager – Data Scientist. This position focuses on overseeing the collection, storage, and interpretation of data for audit purposes, driving informed management decisions through advanced data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Frameworks: Analyze business results, establish new studies, and create innovative experimental frameworks to collect data.

Automation & Analysis: Utilize advanced tools to automate data collections, search through large datasets for usable info, and reformat data for optimized analysis.

Reporting & Strategy: Generate comprehensive reports and presentations for audit purposes, delivering actionable business predictions to management.

Audit Support: Sift through complex data points and figures to support compliance, decision-making, and risk-mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Eligibility: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

Academic/Professional Credentials: Possession of at least one of the following:

Master’s degree in Information Security or Computer Science/IT (specializing in Information Security).

(ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
-
GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP).
-
ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
-
Note: A specific degree or qualification related to Data Science is considered a distinct advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, computer-aided audit techniques, or Information System Auditing, ideally within the banking industry.

Core Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills; thorough knowledge of banking regulations, risk assessment, and IT security infrastructure.
