Job Accountabilities

  • Strategic Transition: Lead the financial transition from an agency model to a Joint Venture (JV) structure, ensuring strict compliance with corporate policies, statutory regulations, and JV agreements.

  • Regional Coordination: Coordinate closely with regional headquarters and senior leadership on the implementation of new controls, procedures, revenue-sharing models, and localized reporting requirements.

  • System Integration: Oversee the end-to-end integration of financial systems, operational processes, and internal controls to support seamless JV operations.

  • Financial Governance: Ensure timely and accurate management reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and statutory obligations to actively support business decision-making.

  • Audit & Stakeholder Management: Manage annual audits and maintain strong stakeholder confidence through transparent and effective financial governance.

  • People Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate the finance team—driving high performance, capability development, and the successful adoption of modern financial processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree recognized by the UGC, or an equivalent professional qualification.

  • Professional Credentials: Full membership/Associate membership of CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent internationally recognized accounting body.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of progressive work experience in a related finance discipline, including at least 3 years of experience operating at the Assistant Manager level.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in financial management, budgeting, taxation, treasury, corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of IFRS/SLFRS, Sri Lankan tax law, and the Companies Act requirements.

  • Global Exposure: Experience working with international stakeholders, including principals, foreign customers, financial institutions, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.

  • Core Skills: Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership capabilities.

  • Systems Familiarity: High proficiency in enterprise ERP systems—preferably SAP—along with modern financial reporting tools.
