Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and structured Quality Assurance Manager to oversee supplier compliance, evaluate product integrity, and lead risk assessment frameworks for our Direct Imports and Private Label segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Quality Management: Oversee external supplier quality frameworks to ensure continuous compliance with corporate mandates and regulatory standards.

  • Testing & Inspections: Manage end-to-end product testing protocols, routine cargo inspections, and rigorous quality evaluations across all imported and private label goods.

  • Sensory Evaluations: Conduct and review systematic sensory evaluations to guarantee consistent product flavor, texture, and appearance profile standards.

  • Packaging & Labeling: Ensure all product packaging artwork and ingredient labeling strictly comply with applicable local and international statutory regulations.

  • Risk Assessment & Resolution: Perform proactive risk assessments and spearhead prompt root-cause issue resolution for any quality-related concerns.

  • Documentation & Audits: Maintain thorough quality documentation, performance reporting sheets, and accurate audit history records.

  • Complaint Management: Oversee the investigation of customer complaints and effectively implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with suppliers, internal brand teams, and external testing laboratories to drive continuous quality improvements.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure absolute adherence to relevant government regulations, specific gazette notifications, and state compliance frameworks.

  • Continuous Improvement: Support ongoing process refinement initiatives to optimize baseline quality assurance standards and corporate benchmarks.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related scientific/operational discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance roles, with a strong preference for individuals from FMCG, international trade imports, or private label manufacturing environments.

  • Regulatory Expertise: Deep working knowledge of standard food/product quality benchmarks, state regulatory frameworks, and compliance auditing workflows.

  • Audit & Supplier Management: Proven experience managing supplier quality networks and organizing external compliance audits.

  • Technical Familiarity: Thorough familiarity with laboratory product testing methods, batch inspection protocols, and sensory evaluation methodologies.

  • Core Competencies: Sharp analytical, data logging, and structured problem-solving capabilities.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a proven knack for collaborating effectively across cross-functional business units.

  • Operational Attributes: High attention to detail, strong multi-tasking abilities, and a steadfast personal commitment to total quality excellence.

  • Software Proficiency: Practical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically advanced MS Excel and visual reporting dashboards.
