Postal Delivery Worker | Pontyclun

Agency: Pertemps (in partnership with Royal Mail) Pay Rate: £13.07 per hour (PAYE) Schedule: 5 days per week (Mon–Sun) | Shifts between 08:00 – 20:00

The Role

Due to increasing demand, Pertemps is seeking motivated Postal Delivery Workers to support Royal Mail’s local operations. You will be the face of the service in your community, ensuring mail and parcels reach their destinations safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Sorting: Start your shift at the local delivery office, organizing mail and parcels for your specific route.
Delivery: Utilize a hand-held computer device for route tracking while completing your round via vehicle or trolley.
Community Interaction: Deliver letters and parcels to local residents and businesses with a professional, helpful attitude.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

Self-Motivated: Happy working independently while being a reliable member of the wider team.
Active & Resilient: Comfortable walking long distances and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Community-Minded: Approachable, upbeat, and professional when meeting customers on your route.

Requirements

Licence: A full UK manual driving licence (registered to your current address) with no more than 6 penalty points. (Note: We cannot accept IN/DD/DR/CD endorsements).
Security: Willingness to complete a full DBS background check before starting.
Experience: Previous customer service or delivery experience is a plus, but not essential.
