Stock Control & Inventory Operative | Chorley

Contract: Temporary to Permanent Shifts: Rotating Weekly (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm), Monday to Friday Pay Rate: £12.77 per hour + £9.45 daily shift allowance

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Stock Control & Inventory Operative to join our team in Chorley. You will play a vital role in maintaining precise stock levels and ensuring our inventory processes remain seamless and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Oversight: Monitor and manage stock levels across all site locations.

• Auditing: Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies.

• Record Keeping: Maintain high standards of accuracy using internal inventory systems.

• Collaboration: Coordinate closely with both the purchasing and warehouse teams.

• Optimization: Identify and suggest improvements to current stock control workflows.

Requirements

• Proven Experience: Essential experience in a similar stock control or inventory-focused role.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory management software.

• Licensing: An FLT licence is highly beneficial but not mandatory.

• Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
