Key Duties
As a Project Manager at Virtusa, you will take ownership of the full project lifecycle, guiding initiatives from planning through successful delivery. You will oversee timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure high-quality results that meet client and organizational goals.
Your role includes:
- Leading projects end-to-end and ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinating with business units and offshore teams to meet project objectives.
- Managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring client expectations are understood and achieved.
- Monitoring risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies, and driving them to resolution.
- Preparing accurate forecasts, managing financial aspects, and supporting contract documentation.
- Maintaining effective communication with project teams, senior management, and clients.
- Producing clear and timely project status reports.
- Utilizing tools such as MS Project, TFS, Jira, or similar project management platforms.
- Leading teams of 15–20+ members, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you should bring:
- 5–10 years of proven experience in project or program management.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership.
- Hands-on knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Jira, TFS, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and contracts.
- Experience managing mid-sized teams across multiple locations.
- A track record of delivering large-scale projects and collaborating with client stakeholders.
